What Farm Draft is
Farm Draft is a planning tool for small diversified farms: a scheduling calendar, a cash-flow forecast, a farm map, and a site-planning advisor. It helps you think through a season or a farm layout before you commit money and labor to it. It is not engineering advice, agronomic advice, legal advice, or financial advice, and using it does not create any kind of professional relationship between you and Farm Draft.
Site plans and earthwork are concept-level
The map, the pond sizing, the cut-and-fill numbers, and the dam figures the app produces are concept-level estimates from public elevation data and the numbers you enter. They are useful for deciding whether an idea is worth pursuing and for talking to a professional about it. They are not a substitute for a site visit, a soil test in hand, or a stamped design. Before you build a pond, a dam, a septic system, or a road, get it checked or designed by NRCS or a licensed engineer. Do not dig, grade, or build from Farm Draft's numbers alone.
The Farm Plan advisor
The advisor (the enterprise mix suggestions, the site plan, and answers in the ask box) is generated by an AI model. It can be wrong, it can miss something about your farm that only you know, and it can suggest something that does not fit your goals. Read its output before you act on it, the same way you would read over a plan a consultant handed you. Farm Draft does not guarantee the advisor's numbers, suggestions, or drawn layouts are accurate, complete, or suited to your farm.
Your farm, your decisions
You are responsible for what you decide to do on your farm, including what you plant, build, spend, and hire, whether or not Farm Draft was involved in the decision. Farm Draft is a tool you use, not a partner in your farm business and not a party to your leases, loans, or contracts with anyone else.
Accounts, invitations, and roles
Today, creating an account requires an invitation from a farm owner (self-serve signup is on the way). An owner invites people to their farm and assigns each person a role: owner, bookkeeper, advisor, or hand. Roles control what a person can see and change, in particular around money and the plan. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account. An owner can end an invitation or a membership at any time, which removes that person's access to the farm.
Acceptable use
Use Farm Draft for your own farm planning. Do not use it to break the law, to impersonate someone else, to try to access another farm's data, to scrape or overload the app or its advisor beyond ordinary use, or to try to extract the underlying public data feeds for resale. We can suspend or close an account that does this.
The app will change, and prices are coming
Farm Draft is actively built and will keep changing: features will be added, changed, or removed as the product develops. It is currently free while in early use. Paid plans are planned; if and when your farm would be charged, you will be told before it happens and asked to agree to pricing terms at that point.
Ending your use of Farm Draft
You can stop using Farm Draft at any time. See the privacy and data policy for how to get a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted.
No warranty, limits on liability
[Placeholder for a lawyer to finish.] Farm Draft is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Farm Draft and the person who runs it are not liable for losses arising from your use of the app or reliance on its output, including the advisor's suggestions.
Governing law
